Fred & Ethel

That handsome goat playing it cool at the top of the page is Fred. A Nubian-Toggenburg cross, he is big enough to hold his own, but is very affectionate and fun-loving. He likes to stand up on your shoulder, chew hair, and nibble ears.

Here he is having brunch with his soul mate, Ethel. She is pretty laid back, but every now and again you can find them really hamming it up. They run toward the side of the barn, jump, and literally bounce off the wall!

Buttercup the horse

Buttercup

Buttercup is a Haflinger, which is a much smaller version of a draft horse. She is 3 years old, and just came back from summer camp, where she learned to drive a cart, and to carry a rider.

Fred and Buttercup are friends, but both get competitive when the brush is out. When Buttercup is enjoying being brushed, Fred wants all the attention. Start brushing him, however, and Buttercup will begin nudging to make sure she isn't forgotten.

Just a little note about Buttercup: she knows how to work a barrel bolt and let the sheep out of their pen. We now have a chain and snap to sure up security!

Kate & Lizzie

Kate and Lizzie are Cormo sheep, and have very soft wool. They kindly provided the yarn for the hand knit baby bonnets shown on the Hand Knits page.

Lizzie (standing up) is loveable, but stands back to take you in before warming up. She is the watch sheep for friends at the farm.

Kate stays with Lizzie a lot of the time, but goes off and visits other friends as well. She may be laying down in this picture because she was pregnant at the time. See the new arrival below with Doug.

Tucker, Missy, & Emma

These three friends provide the Columbia wool at Wooly Buggah Farm. Some say that Missy's ears remind them of Yoda, but she insists that there is no relation. Emma just can't get enough of being petted.

Here are Missy & Emmas' baby boys...Brutis & Sammy.

Donna

Donna is one of Fred's favorite humans. They make a good team, working together to keep things up at the farm. Here she is helping him sort the most recent shearing from Tucker.

Doug & Maggie

Doug

Doug is one of Donna's favorite humans. They make a good team, working together to keep up with Fred!

Here Doug is bonding with Kate's daughter Maggie, not long after she was born. Mom is not the only one who is proud of this one.

Craig

Craig is a help to all of Fred's friends, having a gentle way with animals of any kind. Here he is demonstrating his craft while shearing Emma.
